Herne Bay Harriers u10s played another East Kent Youth League fixture against Total Football Development Youth at home on Saturday. The Harriers were solid from the whistle and moved the ball confidently around the defence through Harry Ellis, Zac Smith and James Musk. The team created a multitude of chances going forward with wingers Karl O’Driscoll and Jack Iddenden providing speed and direct running into the oppositions half.

A tight end to the first half saw the Harriers take a deserved lead through a superb solo effort by O’Driscoll on the counter attack as he carried the ball from his own half at lightening speed to slot home.

The second period saw more sustained pressure on the Youth goalmouth with chances being created across the front line, until O’Driscoll drilled in a second from just inside the box. Player Of The Match went to defender James Musk for excellent coverage and use of the ball to help the Harriers play out from the back.
